Log files when accessing our website

When our website is accessed, log files are created to analyse errors and security incidents. These are only stored for a few days to weeks and are then automatically deleted. This serves our interest in ensuring the secure and reliable operation of the website and our IT systems. We use an external service provider to host our website. The log files are stored there.

Our legitimate interest in data processing via Google Analytics also lies in these purposes. The legal basis for our use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. The data sent by us and linked to cookies or user identifiers (e.g. user ID) are automatically deleted after 14 months. Data that has reached the end of its retention period is automatically deleted once a month.
